About Us

The Women’s Giving Club was formed in August 2014 by a small group of philanthropic women who had a creative idea for how to amplify their impact. The original goal was to recruit 100 women to join the group. The idea was for each woman to give $100 every quarter to an identified non-profit, resulting in a total of $10,000 in giving from one simple night.

The idea was a hit! In fact, it was so popular that over 10 years later the club is still going strong. Membership has continued to grow and now over 280 women meet every quarter to connect with each other and combine their gifts to benefit Grand Valley non profits. Collectively this results in over $100,000 of giving over the course of a year.

The generosity of the Women’s Giving Club has impacted over 48 local nonprofits and raised nearly $1,000,000!!!!

In addition, the original Women’s Giving Club has inspired other giving in the form of the Guys Giving Club and the Montrose Giving Club. Talk about making an impact!

Curious about the meetings? Here’s how it works:

The evening starts at 5:15pm with an opportunity to meet new women or catch up with familiar faces as you enjoy wine, beer, cocktails, and soft drinks along with delicious catered appetizers. You can also use this time to explore the new exhibits at The Art Center.

Our business meeting begins at 6pm. Members have the opportunity to nominate a local nonprofit to receive The Giving Club members’ philanthropic support. The names of three organizations are randomly drawn from the basket of nominees. Then, the respective nominees provide brief information (2 minute limit) and up to three additional member endorsements are heard. Once all three organizations have been described, it’s time to vote. The votes are tallied while members enjoy dessert.

The winner receives the group’s donations - currently around $28,000!!!

It is that simple! Eat, drink, meet, greet, learn, enjoy and give back.

Curious About Membership?

Membership is open to any woman wishing to connect with other community-minded women and make an impact on her community. Members must be willing to pledge $100 per quarter (tax deductible) to be awarded to the group’s selected organizations. In addition, there is an annual membership fee of $80 to cover food, drinks, and meeting and club expenses. Total cost for one year is $480. The membership fee is due upon joining.

2-2-26 Grand Valley Pets Alive $27,000

Grand Valley Pets Alive garnered the most votes and thus is receiving our donations this quarter.

Thank you to each of our 270+ dedicated members for their continued participation with The Giving Club. Together we will make a collective $27,000+ donation to Grand Valley Pets Alive. As always we encourage members to give to the either or both of the other nominated nonprofits.

11-3-25 Food Bank of the Rockies $26,100

Food Bank of the Rockies garnered the most votes and thus is receiving our donations this quarter. It was a hard decision for most of us as all three that as all three provide services that our community really needs right now.

Thank you to each of our 250+ dedicated members for their continued participation with The Giving Club. Together we will make a collective $25,000+ donation to Food Bank of the Rockies. As always we encourage members to give to the either or both of the other nominated nonprofits. We currently have received over $2700 to pass on to those nonprofits.

8-4-25 Riverside Educational Centers (REC) $25,000

Riverside Education Centers provides structured tutoring and diverse extracurricular activities in the after-school hours for students in grades K-12 in order to improve academic achievement and foster positive social and emotional development in a safe and supportive environment.

5-12-25 Hilltop Community Resources $26,300

Creating Connection, Building Community

Hilltop Community Resources is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building a community where everyone belongs. For 75 years, they have been a trusted leader on Colorado’s Western Slope, providing support to thousands each year—helping people overcome challenges, foster connection, and create brighter futures.

2-3-25 Counseling and Education Center (CEC) $26,000

The Counseling and Education Center (CEC) is a non-profit organization celebrating its 42nd year of service to our community. CEC provides mental health counseling to anyone in need. There are no eligibility requirements, and through access to a sliding scale, we work with people who have no insurance or are underinsured. Services for people ages 3 and up.

11-4-24 Good Samaritan Clinic $25,900

Good Samaritan Clinic of Western Colorado aims to eliminate barriers, increase access and improve health equity for uninsured, underinsured, undocumented, and underserved people in our community. They do this by providing essential health care on-site through a team of unpaid licensed and registered health care professionals. Good Samaritan Clinic aims to provide a safety net for people that need basic, routine medical and mental health care.
